“Hello, I’m writing to you today to tell you about my daughter Skye. A smiling, blue-eyed little girl diagnosed on December 20 with POLYMICROGYRIE<\/strong> and SCHIZENC\u00c9PHALIE<\/strong>. Skye’s adventure is still in its infancy at just 19 months old, but we’ve already experienced a lot of highs and lows, victory and defeat, sorrow and joy.
\nIt goes without saying that the 2 brain malformations in Skye are orphan diseases, so like all parents facing this harsh reality, we are swimming in the unknown. Into the unknown of our future. In the unknown of the challenges that lie ahead.
\nIt’s hard to feel involved or a contributor in this case. Because we have no idea where we’re heading. For this reason, I did some research and found your grouping. It was a relief. It’s a relief that there’s a group of parents\/people who can feel supported and accompanied in this difficult ordeal.
\nEven if our children or loved ones aren’t all facing the same illnesses…we’re all experiencing the same feelings. Feelings that are difficult to manage, especially if we feel alone.”<\/span><\/p>\n
